PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness)
PUEA ratio that measures how efficiently a data center uses energy: total facility power divided by IT power.
PUE, or Power Usage Effectiveness, is the standard efficiency metric for data centers. It is calculated as total facility energy divided by the energy delivered to IT equipment.
A PUE of 1.0 would mean every watt goes to IT with no overhead. Real facilities are higher because of cooling, power conversion and lighting. Tracking PUE over time shows where energy is wasted and whether efficiency efforts are working.

ProDCIM reports on PUE and energy use so operators can see where power is spent and act to reduce it.
