BMS (Building Management System)
BMSA system that controls a building's services such as HVAC, lighting and fire safety.
A BMS, or Building Management System, monitors and controls a building's mechanical and electrical services: heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, fire safety and access.
A BMS is facilities-centric. It is not designed to track IT assets, rack-level power or compute capacity, which is where purpose-built DCIM differs.
In ProDCIM
ProDCIM is purpose-built DCIM for IT and critical infrastructure, but it can ingest BMS data over BACnet and present it alongside IT, power and environment in one view.
